Chaine Military Competition Coast Guard Chef CS1 Scott (John) Jeffries
Chefs from all five military services will be competing May 18th at the Chaine Military Competition during Culinary Weekend in Charleston, South Carolina in May. The winner will be the U.S. Military representative in this year's International Jeunes Commis Rôtisseur competition. For more information please go to https://www.chaineus.org/

Our third Chef is Coast Guard CS1 Scott (John) Jeffries

Originally from Fort Lauderdale Florida, CS1 Scott Jeffries joined the United States Coast Guard in 2010 after nearly 10 years in the restaurant industry as a civilian. At age 14, CS1 Jeffries found himself bussing tables at a local café but soon developed an interest in the kitchen side of the business. Over the years he worked in several restaurants gathering a wealth of knowledge in both front of the house and back of the house operations which has helped him to become proficient in his current position as a Special Command Aide for the Department of Homeland Security in Washington DC. Prior to his current assignment at DHS, CS1 Jeffries has been assigned to USCGC Elm, Atlantic Beach North Carolina, USCGC Bainbridge Island, Bayonne New Jersey, USCGC Sitkinak, Bayonne New Jersey and USCGC Obion, Owensboro Kentucky..
