BIO SSGT. CHARLES S. COX III

-March 14th 1995 reported to Parris Island for recruit training.

-Was promoted meritoriously to PFC.

-June 10th 1995 reported to MCT for Combat training.

-July 10th 1995 reported to Fort Lee VA. For Food service school.

-December 17th 1995 reported to 3RD BN 2ND Marines for duty where I served as a cook on watch. Deployed to
Okinawa Japan, Pohang Korea and Bosnia.

-December 18th 1998 reported to 8TH & I for duty where I served as Chief Cook and Chief Mess men.

-July 23rd 2002 reported to HQMC for duty at the CMC mess and served on team 32 for Gen. Jones. Where I was
responsible for each Tuesday and Friday night parade reception, which ranged in attendance from 150 to 350 each
event. During the change of command for Gen. Jones at the Navy academy the CMC mess did the reception for
700 guests.

-August 18th 2003 reported for duty at the Pentagon in the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mess.

-January 6th 2004 reported for duty at the CMC mess.

-May 10th 2004 reported for duty at MCAS Miramar as the Marine Aid to Maj. Gen. Stalder.

-November 20th 2005 reported to HQMC for duty at the CMC mess and served on team 33 for Gen. Hagie.

-January 10th 2006 reported to the Pentagon for duty at the Secretary of Defense mess.

-September 11th 2006 reported to MCRD San Diego as the Marine Aid to Brig. Gen. Salinas.

-November 2nd 2007 was selected to represent the Marine Corps as the Marine Aid of the year.

-February 2008 was awarded the Navy comm. For being selected as the Marine Aide of the year.  

-January 7th 2008 SSgt. Cox reported to the SNCO Career Course and graduated February 22nd 2008.

-January 5th 2009 reported to The Culinary Institute of America for Pro Chef Level I and graduated February 12th
2009.

-SSgt. Cox is originally from Baltimore MD. And also has a brother in the corps and has a 10 year old son.

-While at the CMC mess SSgt. Cox was sent to the Culinary Institute of America in up state New York for classes
where he created his cooking abilities.

Letter of Commendation 1, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal 1, Letter of Appreciation 8, Marine Corps Good
Conduct Medal 4, Certificate of Commendation (Individual Award) 1, Sea service Deployment Ribbon 2, National
Defense Service Medal 2, Kosovo Campaign Medal 1, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal 1, Navy Unit
Commendation Medal 1, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal 1.
