



Sergeant First Class Davis joined the United States Army July 1, 1993 after graduating from high school in Olton,
Texas. SFC Davis attended basic training at Fort Jackson, SC. After completing basic training, SFC Davis went to
the food service specialist course at Fort Lee, VA where he was an honor graduate. From Fort Lee, SFC Davis
was handpicked from his class to serve in the 3rd United States Infantry Unit (The Old Guard) at Fort Myer, VA.
While serving in The Old Guard Dining Facility, SFC Davis held many positions such as lead baker, squad
leader, as well as rations and administration NCOIC. He was also a Small Group Instructor and Unit Alcohol and
Drug Coordinator for Headquarters Company. SFC Davis attended Air Assault School, Primary Leadership
Development course, and he competed in two culinary competions at Fort Lee, where he won two silver medals
and one bronze medal. After this he volunteered for Airborne School, and a chance to serve in the 3rd Battalion/
75 Ranger Regiment.
After successful completion of Airborne School and Ranger Indoctrination Program, SFC Davis was transferred
to Fort Benning, GA in May 1998. As a squad leader in Ranger Dinning Facility SFC was responsible for feeding of
600 Rangers, and the tactical training of all Ranger cooks beneath him. While serving with the Rangers, SFC Davis
became a nationally Registered EMT-B, and he attended the Advanced Culinary Course at Fort Lee, where was an
honor graduate. He then was selected to work in the Chairman’s Dining Room at the Pentagon.
SFC Davis worked at the CDR since July 2000. During this time he has studied under European Master Chef
Franz Dickhiewer in Abenthreur, Germany, as well attended the Internail School of Confectionary Arts. He also
completed the Basic Non Commissioned Officer Course at Fort Lee where he graduated number one in his class.
Currently he in school for his degree in culinary Arts from Stratford University. In the CDR, SFC Davis has worked
in the dining room, kitchen and filled in as the Executive Chef for numerous months.
SFC Davis awards include three Army Commendation Medals, one Joint Service Achievement medal, eleven
Army Achievement medals, three good conduct medals, two National Defense Medals, two Professional
development medals and one Army service ribbon.
SFC Davis has been married almost 12 years to Catherine, and they have Hunter (nine) and Ashley (six). Sgc
Davis hobbies included music, reading, biking, cooking and time with his family.
